Research Interests
Professor Grace Chu-Fang Lo’s research interest on WSBV (white spot bacilliform virus) has earned her a worldwide reputation of improving the aquaculture biotechnology in Taiwan. Professor Lo has been working on this research area with the study of gene function ever since the early 1970s. She applied the study of Baculovirus to practice her research and experiments of gene function in the medical field. In 1994, the damages from the great incident of the death in aquaculture biotechnology around the whole world inspired and prompted Professor Lo to work on the study and the research of Crustacean diseases and immunology. To be specific, her devotion to working on the research of WSBV (white spot bacilliform virus) has improved the aquaculture biotechnology a lot in Taiwan.
